Grandchamp is racing!

On June 10^th, Grandchamp was once again given the opportunity to shine, this time at the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit for the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada. This 49^th edition of the Grand Prix, which took place as part of the Formula One World Championship. This event is the seventh of twenty-one events. This year marked  the 39^th Grand Prix held in Montreal on this particular circuit.

GRANDCHAMP TO THE RESCUE!

Grandchamp was awarded the Grand Prix construction contract to complete infrastructure repairs. We are a recognized tent manufacturer who holds a specific goal; upgrading the paddocks and the assets surrounding the project. To do so, we developed tailor-made structures using both  and rigid wall panels.

The current paddocks in place dated back to 1988. As part of the renovation project, they will be demolished so the new Grandchamp tent structures can be installed.

The Grand Prix also purchased spaces above the garages to be converted into VIP loges. Once the work is complete, it will increase the capacity of the loges to 5,000 people compared to 1,800. These loges will be on the third floor of the circuit’s new paddocks.

For the City of Montréal, the investment was a logical choice. In fact, Mayor Valérie Plante is hoping for a long-term agreement to keep the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Montréal. She has also stated that the new infrastructures could be used for other events, which will generate additional revenue.
