Grandchamp expertise is now internationally renowned, to say the least! Here’s why!
On June 8th and 9th , the leaders of the G7 Summit at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu hotel of La Malbaie Charlevoix in Canada. And guess what? Grandchamp was there, too! We supplied the tents for the meetings, but also for the Canadian Forces Base Bagotville. We are especially proud as this area was a key site that specifically addressed the needs of the summit taking place in La Malbaie.
But that’s not all! Grandchamp also provided a media tent for journalists spanning 50 x 90 feet, as well as a meal tent (where 60,000 meals were served!) for the 3,000 RCMP officers on duty.
Grandchamp expertise and complex working conditions
It goes without saying that working for an event of such international importance is no easy feat, despite Grandchamp’s considerable expertise! Our team had to operate on an extremely tight schedule and respond to many last-minute requests.
The location also made the task more challenging. We had to work inside the red zones, which had very limited access and stringent security measures.
Above all that, the area’s high security made installing the tents very complex, but we were expected to provide a turnkey service. Our offer therefore included electricity and plumbing in our tents, to allow all meals to be served.
Last but not least, our resources were available on site for the entire duration of the G7 summit.
Overall, we are very proud to say that we overcame every challenge thrown our way with flying colours. In the words of our client:
“You and your team should be very proud of the important role you played in the organization of this event. Your excellent work was highly appreciated and you clearly contributed to the success of this international summit.”
